This November marks Leah’s and my third year of traveling across the U.S. as she takes on travel nurse contracts.
For most of that time, I worked remotely as a digital marketer for a healthcare consulting company focused on independent medical practices. Unfortunately, in August 2024, the company was acquired, resulting in layoffs across the marketing team and other departments.
Since then, we’ve moved back to Michigan from Maine and tied the knot! Life has been an incredible adventure since I met Leah, and a little unemployment won’t slow us down.
We’re back on the road again!
After a week of driving, we’ve made it to the sunny Central Valley of California. Sticking to our limit of no more than 10 hours of driving each day, we stopped in Omaha, Denver, Salt Lake City, and South Tahoe along the way.
We were lucky to spend time with friends in both Denver and Salt Lake City, which made the journey even better. (And let’s be honest—cross-country road trips are a lot more enjoyable when you’re not stressing about PTO!)
In Denver we were able to enjoy the Panorama Point hike in Corwina Park.
